Cindy Tower
Satellite imagery of BP Oil Spill, right
and center compared to ariel image of
Craters of the Moon National Monument
which inspired Tower's oil and asphault
paintings
As a response to the BP Oil spill, Tower painted a landscape series from her truck with oil and asphault in Idaho at Craters of the Moon National Monument which resembled the oil spill in satellite imagery being 750-thousand acres of black lava.
